TUDOBEM SS14 Collection x DAPP

This is the second time for the outfit post sponsored by DAPP, Thai based brand located in Bangkok Thailand. The previous summer I chose a floral jacket and paired it with shorts and super big floral hat from H&M (You can read the article here) However, in this Spring/Summer 2014, I had a chance to write the press release, as well as, read the motivation of the collection which's sparkled by the idea of Brazilian festive seasons and its cheerful characteristic of people. Therefore, I've chosen this sleeveless crop top with floral print on top.

Tudobem SS14 is converging towards street fashion so as to match with the style of "Modern Vintage Street" known as a signature of the brand. The complexity of hues is illustrated through the luminous prints which represent the ecstatic lifestyle of Brazilians. Personally, I think nothing is such more perfect than vivid palettes or vibrant colours in this season! Well even though how much I love B&W outfit, colourful clothes can be another option for boosting the look as well.

In this look, I mixed and matched the crop top with black skirt from New Look and boots sent from online shopping. However, i toyed up the hat i got from vintage fair, as well as, a fringe bag bought from H&M at Oxford Street

Oh! just in case, my lips applied by a lipstick from Topshop

็Hair Extension Review x Born Pretty

Normally, I don't really do pretty product reviews, but I guess this can be quite challenging for me and those who are looking for the right hair colour for this Spring. First of all, this is not my real hair but a hair extension sent from "Born Pretty" an online shopping with free shipping worldwide.

Do I like this hair extension? Well, I love the colour and the fabric of the hair because it is so soft and really easy to take care of. At first, I had wanted to dye my hair in this colour, but thank you Born Pretty who sent me this item because now I realize that the colour is not really matching with my skin tone. However, applying this hair extension for once in a while, or any party occasions would absolutely lovely ( ps. I felt a bit like one of the anime characters for 15 minutes when I put this hair piece on lol)

And the floral crown was made by Thai shop called "Purita แฟชั่นดอกไม้" I received the special parcel sent by the owner of the shop a few weeks ago. I had told her I loved Black and White colours, so this's how my floral crown looks like ;)

*The faux leather jacket purchased from H&M***

Event: Pandora Essence SS14 Collection

I had an opportunity to attend the event hosted by Pandora Thailand a few weeks ago. It was all about the preview collection of SS14, and guess what I could make my own Pandora bracelet too!

At first, I was quite surprised to see The Equinox Fashion card placed on the table, I thought "Oh! The team had my name here" Well, I was really astonished yet stoked since this's my first Pandora's event, and they had my name listed here already, i felt such an honor to be here. So, let's talk about the new collection, shall we?

Normally, I am a fan of this brand since I posted about Pandora SS13 collection in an online magazine called Fashion Studio (I worked there last year) And I love the fact that the owners of the brand have started doing their passion in Thailand which's my beloved country, or you can say I was born here :) Therefore, I have been following the brand since then. Last year, I was merely a writer who moving the pen and summarizing the story of Pandora in front of my laptop, and this year I'm here at the Essence Collection event

What I love about the collection is that each single piece of the beautiful beads has its own "meaning" So, Pandora team let all the attenders choose three of their favourite beads. I looked through all of them, but what stunned me the most was the purple one, followed by crystal silver and black lol Yes I love those colours!

"Faith Confidence Strength" are all defined me.

California Sensation x For Elyse

The dress sent to me by For Elyse, California based boutique which totally made my Spring <3

Normally, I wear monochrome outfit in every season no matter when people are all stoked about emerald green, cherry red or any colours for an upcoming season. However, I wanted to try something new "something that looks bright yet trendy for this cheerful months." And that's the reason why I chose this mint green dress from the shop since it could be a great match with my other blazers, as well as, this kimono jacket purchased from Missguided. Yes combination is a must for me <3

One thing I really love about this dress is its very light fabric. I can wear the dress anywhere and any time even in this insanely hot weather in Bangkok, Thailand. Besides, its versatility makes my life become easier because I can wear it solely in the day time, and boost the layer with jacket for night time events. Very good for me indeed since I hate to carry everything in my bag lol

In this look, I paired the dress with Kimono dress from Missguided and the shoes by T.U.K.

Hair Back On Fire x Let Them Stare

A few weeks ago, I had an opportunity to attend the fashion event hosted by the brand called "Al'Manita" However, I haven't had a chance to introduce you guys to the brand which sent me this classic pitch black dress yet. Therefore, now it's a good time to get to know more about the brand called "Let Them Stare"

I had come across this brand on Lookbook.nu and I really interested in the designs including the dresses and very unique pants or feminine skirts. You can find a great variety embedded in the character of the designer named Anastasia, beautiful lady who's working behind these gorgeous clothes. Surprisingly, she told me to pick my favourite one, then she would send it to Bangkok, Thailand in order to be a collaboration post for both of us.

The dress seemed to be a bit big for me, so I had it altered after. However, I didn't hesitate to wear this dress to the fashion event with me since I really loved it. Therefore, I mixed and matched the dress with these ankle boots and bag purchased from H&M

But I got the hat from thrift shop ;)

Isn't It Spring yet? x Bohie Design

This week's been quite hectic yet productive for me since I have been attending loads of events, as well as, working as an English teacher in Bangkok, Thailand. Trust me, I've been working 24/7 and I feel so damn tired every time I come back home at night. However, life goes on and pastel palettes are my new obsession for this lively season.

This look's sponsored by Bohie Design, Vietnamese based boutique. I really appreciate this collaboration not only this's the first time of #Thequinoxfashion with Vietnamese shop but I also received several pieces which I hadn't expected before such as floral top, two skirts and one shorts.

I devoted this post to be the first look of this season because I have seen a lot of bloggers, also fashion columns posted the articles about pastel tones and other soft colours like mint, baby blue and etc. Hence, I mixed&matched the skirt sent from Bohie with the top purchased from Topshop and ankle boots received from shopping online. Such a super contrast indeed lol

Upcoming post in this month
-Pandora event
-Camper event
-Collaboration with California based boutique.

My Street Style x NUN Bangkok

March is all going to be about collaborations and fashion events since it's already Summer in Bangkok, Thailand! Ha, this is why I love being in Asia due to its lovely weather, great food and generosity of people. However, I'll get my feet back to UK around August/ Septemberish, so I'd better live my life to the utmost here.

A few weeks ago, I received this must-have top from NUN Bangkok, Thai designer with a passion in street wear clothing line. Personally, I've known the designer of the brand for a while, so we had decided to launch a project together by creating this collaboration in order to push forward "Street" fashion to be more distinguished in online media. It's a great teamwork not just because we are attracted to each other but also me and the designer have something very in common. Therefore, it's super easy to work with her :)

In this outfit, I paired NUN Bangkok top with Missguided skirt and the jacket purchased from H&M.

1. Tell me a bit background of Nün Bangkok, and the designer itself?

Nün Bangkok was founded by myself, Nün Visitsak and my boyfriend Tom Shigeru Stannard. We met whilst I was studying in London where street fashion strives and everywhere you look, there is a clear sense of style and individuality. After we wrapped up our degrees, Tom moved with me to Bangkok, Thailand where we now reside but our love for street fashion and its charms never left us.
Thailand's fashion scene is extremely different from the London fashion scene in a sense where feminine clothes dominate the streets, malls and workplace. As I have never really been a girly-girl, I sometimes feel a tad out of place in such a feminine world and shopping in Thailand for me is not easy as frilly dresses are not my first choice!
After soul-searching for a couple of years and working in the film industry as a television commercial director, I decided that my true-calling is fashion and that I could never be truly happy if I don't take that risk and jump right into it. I spoke with Tom about doing our own fashion line and he was ecstatic. We agreed that street fashion would be our take on this fashion line, bringing the London street fashion vibes to our designs, incorporated with a splash of femininity. From there on, it was decided. I quit directing right away and we got the ball rolling for Nün Bangkok!

2. What is the style of Nün Bangkok?
In the simplest terms, Nün Bangkok is minimalistic street fashion. But to look closer into the style of Nün Bangkok you'll see fun touches of femininity juxtaposed with tom-boy elements. Also, at Nün Bangkok, we are not afraid to show some skin! This is not about being revealing, but it's about being proud of who you are no matter what size you are! It's about being comfortable in your own skin, showing off your confidence and really owning your own style!

3.  Who're the targeted customers of Nün Bangkok?
Our target audience are people all around the world who loves to shop online to find interesting different design pieces from different parts of the world! They could either be fashionistas in their full-bloom, looking to add to their wardrobe with our statement pieces or they could be newbie fashionistas who are looking to explore and expand their own style with our more muted yet fun pieces!

4. What's your inspiration for this collection?
Initially, we wanted to create an edgy, 'tough-girl-chic' collection that focuses on light fabrics that is comfortable to wear. So we decided to tackle one of my favourite pieces in fashion, the leather motorbike jacket. Because I live in Thailand, the weather here has never allowed for me to be able to wear leather jackets, so we decided to create a 'non-leather, leather jacket'. This piece of ours looks like a motorbike jacket, but extremely airy and light. The body is made of linen, lined with silk, and the sleeves are made of see-through Italian silk mesh, making this piece very breathable! But in colder countries, this piece is perfect as a layering piece!

From that, we decided to make our very first collection in the theme of 'biker chic'. We spent weeks researching and trying to find a different take on the 'biker' theme. Then we found an image of the motorbike engines and thought that it looked very interesting and intricate. We decided we wanted to base the entire collection on the design of the motorbike engine. Our centerpieces of this collection is our 'Engine Dress' and our 'Engine Top'. The slanted lines on these two pieces are inspired by the motorbike engines, and other than making them very unique pieces, the slanted lines also compliments one's figure by elongating one's body and slimming down one's waistline. From there, we decided to make these slanted panels the main theme of this collection, now seen in our 'Lane Splitter Leggings', 'Lane Splitter Bomber' and the 'Burn Out Dress'.

5. How do you plan for the future growth of the brand?
Right now most of our customers are from the United States and the United Kingdom and in the future, we hope to attract more attention from the Asian market and hopefully open a store front at some point!
